    J.J. Taylor Companies, Inc., operates in a shared services model; providing administrative and specialist support to the company’s divisions in the areas of finance, accounting, information technology, human resources and training. The Jupiter office is also home to the company’s state-of-the-art training and video conferencing center.

  • John J. Taylor, III

    Chairman, President, CEO

    John Taylor began working for the company full-time upon graduation from Boston College in 1980. He has worked in all areas of the company including delivery, sales and administration. John became President of the company in 1988. Under his leadership, the company has experienced dramatic growth over the years. John has been an active member of both the national and state beer wholesaler’s associations as well as serving on a number of brewery wholesale advisory boards.

  • Henri DesPlaines

    Executive Vice President, CFO

    Hank DesPlaines, CPA, a graduate from Western New England College (WNEC), joined the Taylor organization in 1985 after a 16-year career in public accounting. Hank also acted as General Manager of J.J. Taylor Distributing Company, Inc. in Dartmouth until early 1989.

  • Manuel Portuondo

    Vice Chairman

    Manuel (Pachy) Portuondo, a graduate of the University of Miami, joined the Taylor organization in 1998 as President and General Manager of J.J. Taylor Miami. After J.J. Taylor Miami was sold in 2002 he was promoted to President and General Manager of J.J. Taylor Distributing Florida, Inc., in Tampa. He served in that capacity until December 2011. At that time he was promoted to EVP and Chief Operating Officer overseeing sales and operations for both Minnesota and Florida. Beginning January 1, 2017, his role will change to Vice Chairman as he continues to advise the board regarding business strategy.

  • Jay Martin

    Executive Vice President, COO

    Jay Martin joined J.J. Taylor Distributing Florida, Inc. as Vice President of Operations in 1997. He was promoted to President and General Manager in 2011. Effective May 1, 2016 he was promoted to EVP/COO overseeing both Florida and Minnesota Sales and Operations. Jay has 30 years of beverage experience including time with Miller Brewing Company and others. After Graduating from Cornell, Jay began his career in retail store management with a major grocery chain.

  • Stuart Shapiro

    Vice President Finance

    Stuart Shapiro, CPA, a graduate from Florida Atlantic University, joined the Taylor organization in 1998 as Corporate Controller. Stuart was promoted to Vice President of Finance in January 2010. His background includes over 30 years of accounting experience in both public and private industry.

  • Jose Rivera

    Vice President Administration

    Jose Rivera, a graduate from the University of Puerto Rico became a CPA and joined the Taylor organization in 1998. Jose has over 20+ years of experience in public and private accounting and acted as VP of Finance for several companies including Procter & Gamble, Carrier and Pepsi Cola in Latin America.

  • Greg Fithian

    Vice President CIO

    Greg Fithian is a graduate from Temple University with a degree in Computer Science. He worked in increasingly more responsible roles in manufacturing environments, eventually becoming the IT Director at ASK Plastics. He subsequently held similar roles at both AFA Foods and Global Advanced Metals before joining the Taylor Organization in 2015, as Chief Information Officer.

    Vice President Human Resources

    Dave Miller joined the Taylor organization as VP of Human Resources in 2012. He obtained his MBA from St. Joseph's University and has 30+ years of experience in HR, Safety, Risk and Labor & Employment issues. His prior experience was with Black & Decker, PECO Energy and AFA Foods.
