The Land of 10,000 Lakes has a new dog in town as BrewDog makes its debut across the Twin Cities and beyond in the state of Minnesota. BrewDog’s flagship brew, Punk IPA, a full-flavored India Pale Ale; and headliners Elvis Juice, a grapefruit infused American IPA; Hazy Jane, a cloudy New England IPA; and Clockwork Tangerine Session IPA, a tangerine infused session IPA; are now available. BrewDog is also introducing a lineup of non-alcoholic offerings featuring Nanny State and Punk AF IPA.
More details on the new offerings below.
Description: Punk IPA is the beer that kick-started it. This light, golden classic has been subverted with new world hops to create an explosion of flavor. Bursts of caramel and tropical fruit with an all-out riot of grapefruit, pineapple and lychee, precede a spiky bitter finish.
Elvis Juice Grapefruit Infused American IPA
Description: This is an IPA like no other. Elvis Juice puts grapefruit center stage. Primed with tart pithy grapefruit peel for a citrus assault on the senses. This zest zenith delivers intense US hop aromas. Gigantic grapefruit notes are tail-gated by orange and pine. All piled high on a caramel malt base.
Hazy Jane New England IPA
Description: East Coasts collide and crank it up for this new New England IPA retuned in Scotland. Brewed with oats and wheat and left unfiltered for a hazy appearance and super smooth delivery. Dry-hopped for a full-tilt fruit hit with pineapple, mango and a hint of zesty lime. Low on bitterness, high on haze, heavy on hops.
Clockwork Tangerine Session IPA
Description: This fully automated IPA is infused with tangerine. At 4.5% it’s a stand-out session beer that packs a perfectly timed delivery of juicy citrus and mellow tropical fruit resting on a light toasty and caramel base. Fresh, juicy and sessionable.
Non- Alcoholic Offerings
Punk AF IPA
Description: Brewed with eight different hops from North America, New Zealand and Europe, Punk AF lives up to its billing in every respect. Juicy tropical fruit mixes it up with grassy notes and a hit of resinous pine, all sitting on a solid foundation of four different malts. The bitter finish belies its ABV, rolling in at 35 IBUs to provide the perfect retort to those who push alcohol-free beer devoid of character.
Nanny State Hoppy Ale
Description: If you think low alcohol equals no taste, think again. Nanny State breaks the curfew and slips under the radar. A brigade of specialty malts and North American hops sends bitterness to the brink and back. Squeezing this many hops in, and dialing down the alcohol, is a testament to our craft.
BrewDog is known for its quick growth in Scotland and the U.K., but that growth isn’t limited to one continent. BrewDog first expanded in the U.S. in 2017 with a state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot brewery near Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to expanding USA distribution in 2018, BrewDog will also be opening several bars across the country, and the world’s first crowdfunded craft beer hotel, The DogHouse, and its sour beer facility. Minnesotans can locate the nearest retailers, bars and restaurants with BrewDog beer by downloading the BrewDog app.
