J.J. Taylor Companies, Inc. Ranks Third Nationwide in Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work

Glassdoor Honors J.J. Taylor Companies, Inc Best Places to Work

J.J. Taylor Companies, Inc. is honored to be #3 on Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Awards in the U.S. small and medium company category, recognizing the Best Places to Work in 2023. Unlike other workplace awards, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, now in its 15th year, is based solely on the input of employees, who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback by completing a company review on Glassdoor, the worldwide leader on insights about jobs and companies.

We’d like to thank our incredible employees, whose dedication, teamwork, community, and grit formed our First Choice culture and earned us the #3 spot on this list. Our mission has always been to be the First Choice distributor for our employees, for our customers, and for our suppliers.

“I believe that, not just receiving this award, but being #3 of 50 on the list is a huge testament of how important our people are to us and feel like they are truly our number one asset when it comes to us being a First Choice employer,” said Brittany Norris, our HR Generalist from our Tampa location.

On our Glassdoor reviews, one employee stated, “The leadership team cares about feedback and the happiness of employees. You can go to them with issues, and they treat you more like family than an employee.”

Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor Chief Executive Officer stated, “The past year brought extreme highs and lows for job seekers and employees, but despite an increasingly uncertain job market, Glassdoor data shows there are still companies hyper-focused on creating outstanding employee experiences. It’s encouraging to see companies doubling down on employee mental health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, competitive benefits and flexible work environments as we head into 2023. I sincerely congratulate all of the Best Places to Work winners.”

On Glassdoor, current and former employees voluntarily and anonymously share insights and opinions about their work environments by sharing a company review, designed to capture a genuine and authentic inside look at what a specific job may be like at a particular company. When sharing a company review on Glassdoor, employees are asked to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, and key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, senior management, diversity and inclusion, and work/life balance. In addition, employees are asked to describe the best reasons to work at their companies as well as any downsides.

Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work winners were determined using company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees between October 19, 2021 and October 17, 2022. To be considered for the U.S. small and medium company list, a company must have had fewer than 1,000 employees and received at least 30 ratings across each of Glassdoor’s nine workplace attributes (overall company rating, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, senior management, work-life balance, recommend to a friend and six-month business outlook) . The final list is compiled using Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, led by its Economic Research Team, and considers quantity, quality and consistency of reviews. Complete awards methodology can be found here.
